dRural is featured at The European Regions Summit for Smart Communities event (3-9 May, 2021). Our project coordinator, TICbiomed, has introduced our objectives and activities towards key stakeholders, attuned projects and initiatives.
The European Regions for Smart Communities summit, under Portuguese Presidency of European Union, took place in Évora (Alentejo, Portugal) and online.
The Summit was the celebration of the success and achievements across Smart Communities and a opportunity for mutually commit to cooperation. It gathered local and regional leaders from across Europe to discuss how to involve the citizens and stakeholders in co-promoting smarter small cities, towns, villages and regions for a better tomorrow. Portugal was committed to play positive and flexible role to promote cooperation and achieve tangible results in economic recovery and lead the European Union out of the crisis.
