dRural partners met in their 6th project meeting and took part in the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCWEC 2023)
From 6 to 7 November 2023, dRural project partners met in Barcelona for the 6th consortium meeting since the beginning of the project. The meeting aimed to share updates on dRural’s pilots and the upcoming activities.
While the project is entering its final year of activities, the partners took the opportunity to showcase the project’s achievements and dive into deep discussions. These were aimed to pave the way for the sustainability of the regional platforms beyond the project duration, define the strategy to further promote the former during dedicated regional information days, validate the impact evaluation framework of the project, and set a roadmap for the development of complex services of our Mirror Regions.
On 7 and 8 November, dRural also participated in the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC 2023), taking place in Barcellona. Here, Dr. Yasin Sahhar of the University of Twente participated in the Central Agora Session with a speech focused on the topic of governance within service ecosystems and the lessons learned through dRural. Jonathan Gómez-Raja, representing dRural’s partner FundeSalud, delivered a speech at the joint Booth session with the sister projects. Through the speech, he showcased the regional demo of Extremadura as a key example of how dRural contributes to “Digitalisation from Local to Global”.
The conference was a key moment for dRural partners to talk about the importance of digitalisation to make services more accessible in rural areas and to further enhance collaboration, networking, and knowledge transfer with fellow projects and initiatives. This was in fact the topic of at the Booth session.
It’s not over yet, as the dRural project continues! So don’t miss the latest news.
